Spark the Hope Gala Dinner Communications Design

In 2022, Branches of Hope planned to launch their 10th anniversary Gala Dinner as COVID-19 ended. How could we get strategic about storytelling to re-engage high-net-worth donors just when economic activities started to resume?

Client: Branches of Hope

Completion: 2022

The Challenge

The solution focuses on how to bring clarity to existing and potential donors on the impact they are contributing to. Starting with an in-depth discovery, a marketing and storytelling strategy was developed based on donors’ demographics, to uncover “who we are serving”.

The Strategy

With a visual-driven donation card, we onboarded clients with the challenges we are facing, together. Moving on to our presentation and case sharing, we set up the scene through providing first-person angle to visualise the needs that are often unheard. Through strong visual storytelling, potential donors were informed of "how we could react to the challenge" and "how we could help".

The Outcome & Impact

From strategic invitation strategy and thoughtful event arrangements, to deck content and donation card design, the Gala Dinner successfully recruited 95 high-net-worth donors to attend the evening, and raised $720,000 in one single night. Proceeds aimed to support the refugee and asylum seeker programmes, from educations to resettlement.
